Golfers in Eighth After First Round

“It was a struggle today with nerves and the pressure that each golfer puts on herself,” head coach Leslie Spalding said. “ It’s their last chance to play great as a college golfer. The good thing is that I expect this will be our worst round. I expect that we will finish the tournament on a high note.”
Gillum was only six over-par for the entire Cowgirl Classic on the same course two weeks ago. She is currently tied for eighth with four other players. Alexa Kim from Northern Arizona is at the top of the leaderboard at even par 72. Northern Arizona is leading the team competition at 10 over-par. Montana State is 33 strokes off the first place pace.
The tourney will continue Tuesday and Wednesday with 18 holes on each day.
