Harris, a true freshman, played a pivotal role in Montana State’s 6-1 win over Northern Arizona last Friday. The Bobcats defeated the Lumberjacks for the first time since 2005 and took over sole possession of second place in the league standings. Montana State now needs one more win to claim the No. 2 seed to this year’s championship.
The native of Billings, Mont. teamed up with Stephanie Jasper at the top doubles spot to beat Edit Suhajda and Orsi Golovics 8-4. She then knocked off Kim Van Ginkel 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 singles. Harris improved to 13-2 overall and 10-2 at No. 2 singles. She is 5-1 in Big Sky play, and is riding a four-match winning streak.
Others Nominated: Leslie Vial, Northern Arizona; Katrina Zheltova, Sacramento State
