MSU Track and Field Announces the Signing of Florence Prep Star

Niemeir, who is primarily a hurdler has a long pedigree in Montana prep track and field.
“We are very excited to have Katherine coming to MSU,” Kennedy said. “She is someone who could come in and make an impact scoring right away, especially in the hurdles.”
Niemeir is the current state class B champion in the 300 meter hurdles and also holds the divisional record in the 100 and 300 hurdles. She holds the 100 hurdle, 300 hurdle, 400 meter, 200 meter, and 55 meter hurdle records at Florence Carlton High School. She has been MVP of her track team for the last three seasons and was the state class B champion in 2007 in both 100 and 300 meter hurdles.
Niemeir is also a varsity volleyball and basketball player for Florence.
