Bobcats Host Grizzlies Saturday

Things heat up in Worthington Arena on Saturday, when Montana invades for a men’s/women’s Cat-Griz doubleheader. The Bobcat men play at 7 pm, a game which suddenly bears considerable weight in the Big Sky Conference. The Grizzlies enter the week alone in second place at 7-3 (Portland State is a half-game back at 6-3), while Montana State stands 5-4. The teams moved into those positions by sweeping Eastern Washington and Portland State at home last weekend. Montana enters as one of the hottest and most talented teams in the Big Sky, having won four straight. Anthony Johnson continues to tear things up, averaging 16.3 points a game and playing his way to the front of the league’s player of the year discussion. Jordan Hasquet (11.0 points, 6.0 boards) remains a consistently outstanding player for the Grizzlies.
