Allison Jones Chosen Big Sky Conference Field Athlete of the Week

Jones threw a personal best in the shot put of 47-11.75 to win the event at the MSU Dual Invite and took a second in the weight throw. The shot put mark is the best in the conference to date. Jones, a junior from Harlowton, is a former all-conference performer in both the shot put and the weight throw.
Northern Arizona’s Curtis Durocher was the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. Durocher now tops the Big Sky performance list in the weight throw with a mark of 64-10.75.
Ronald Brookins of Saacramento State was Co-Male Track Athlete of the Week along with Arizona’s Rodney Overton.
Montana’s Katrina Drennen garnered her second Female Track Athlete of the Week after she posted a conference-leading time in the mile at the MSU Invite.
