Bobcats Fall to Vikings

Jeremiah Dominguez scored 17 points and Portland State held the Bobcats to 34% shooting, as the Vikings topped Montana State 64-58 in Portland on Wednesday.
Portland State's hot three-point shooting proved MSU's undoing, as the Vikings nailed a dozen treys on the night. Dominguez hit five, several during a key stretch midway through the second half that helped the Vikings stretch a three-point lead into double-digits. PSU shot just 41.1% on the night, but hit 39.7% from three-point range.
Will Bynum scored 16 points to lead the Bobcats, including a banked three-pointer to close the first half which cut Portland State's lead to eight at the intermission. Divaldo Mbunga was among three Bobcats with six rebounds, and he also blocked a pair of shots.
With the loss, MSU falls to 6-8 in the Big Sky, 12-14 overall. MSU faces Northern Colorado, also 6-8 in the league, in a key league matchup Sunday afternoon.
