Bengals Hold Off MSU in Bozeman

Idaho State's 10-0 run midway through the first half gave the Bengals the lead for good, as ISU beat Montana State 63-56 in Bozeman on Thursday.
Donnie Carson scored 13 points to lead four Bengals in double-digits, and the Bengals held Montana State to 36% shooting. "We had decent shots," said MSU coach Brad Huse, "but we missed them. We didn't have a great shooting night. Their length is always an issue. It wasn't easy for us to score."
While Idaho State's largest lead was 11, the Bengals led for the game's final 31 minutes. With the win, Idaho State takes the upper hand in the battle for fourth place in the Big Sky standings. ISU, now 7-6 in Big Sky play and 10-17 overall, sweeps the season series against MSU, handing the Bengals the tie-breaker with Montana State, now 6-7 in the league and 12-12 overall.
