Wyoming Squeaks Out 4-3 Win over Bobcat Women

Montana State won the opening doubles point, but then dropped matches at No. 1, 2, and 3 singles. The Bobcats won by default at No. 6, and McKenzie Hilmer’s 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win over Carolinn Chaix at No. 4 tied the score at 3-all to set up the three-set thriller.
“It was a tough weekend in terms of losing by one point to both Idaho and Wyoming,” said MSU head coach Denise Albrecht. “We battled sickness all weekend, and to come within an eyelash of getting wins over two very good teams from bigger conferences says a lot about what we can do with a full, healthy line-up.”
MSU will take next weekend off, before traveling to Gonzaga and Eastern Washington.
