MSU Celebrates Super Sunday in Style

Will Bynum registered seven steals Montana State's offense made Sunday super, as the Bobcats topped defending Big Sky Champion Portland State 85-82 in Worthington Arena.
Divaldo Mbunga scored on a layup less than two minutes into the second half to give the Bobcats a lead they would never relinquish, as MSU snapped a three-game losing streak in the series. And while MSU shot a season-high 56% from the floor, Brad Huse credited his team's mindset. "I thought we were aggressive on both ends today, and that was our message going in, just be the aggressors," he said.
That aggression led not only to a highly efficient offense, but to a big-play defense. Bobcat guard Will Bynum registered seven steals, and Mbunga blocked a pair of shots. Bynum scored a career-high 24 points, the most by any player Sunday, in addition to his seven steals. Mbunga grabbed eight rebounds to lead all players.
The win moves MSU over .500 in league play at 5-4, and raises the team's record to 11-9.
