
Seattle Rallies to Drop Bobcat Spikers

Cristin Richards registered a match-high 19 kills and Kaytlyn Dill 16 to lead Seattle to a 3-2 victory over Montana State in Bozeman on Monday.
Seattle raised its record to 6-18 with the 24-26, 25-22, 12-25, 25-22, 15-13 victory. Montana State fell to 3-16.
MSU jumped out to a 6-1 lead in game one, and after Seattle tied the score at 23 scored three of the last four points. Seattle used an 8-2 start to gain the upper hand early en route to the win in game two, but MSU dominated game three by hitting 33% and winning 25-12.
Seattle responded by hitting 37.8% in game four, then jumped to leads of 10-7 and 12-8 in game five before the Bobcats rallied to tie the game at 13. Dill and Richards registered kills to close the match for Seattle.
Nicole Grypiuk led MSU with 13 kills, while Kylie Edinger and Taylar Barnie each recorded 12. Taylor Faught recorded 50 assists for MSU, while Seattle's Jamie Mellies had 49.
Montana State returns to action Friday night in Shroyer Gym, hosting Eastern Washington at 7 pm.
