Bobcat Spikers Split Saturday Matches at Air Force Tournament

Earlier in the day, the Bobcats dropped a 25-22, 25-19, 25-14 decision to North Carolina State. MSU finished the tournament with a 2-2 mark and improved to 3-4 on the season.
Against Akron, Montana State was led by sophomore Jodeen Rademacher with a season-high 22 kills, while adding 11 digs and three blocks. Also posting double-digit kills were Nicole Grypiuk 15 and Kyla Hendry 10.
Junior setter Taylor Faught paced the Bobcat offense dishing out 55 assists, while notching 15 digs and three aces. Defensively, MSU had five players in double-figure digs, including Meghan Albiston 22, Hannah Stroebe 16, Faught, Rademacher, and Laura Viren 10.
Hendry led all blockers with a match-high six blocks.
In its three set loss to North Carolina State, Montana State was guided by Viren with six kills, a .235 attack mark and seven digs.
The Bobcat will travel to the Washington State Invitational next weekend were they will face WSU, No. 22 Wichita State and Northwestern.
