Golfers Head to Colorado

CU will welcome 19 teams to the Omni Interlocken Resort for the tournament, which is held in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and honors former LPGA standout Heather Farr.
The 'Cats will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, with both days teeing off the action at 8:30 a.m. The teams will play the Vista and Sunshine courses at the Omni, a par-72 setup checking in at 6211 yards.
In 2007, senior LaRae Smith led the 'Cats at the Invite. Seniors Shannon Donegan and Hilary Folkvord also golfed in last year's event. Colorado will look to defend its title as the Buffs won the 2007 CU Heather Farr Memorial.
Teams coming to Broomfield include Colorado State, Northern Colorado, Boise State, CSU Long Beach, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Georgia State, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana State, Nevada, Notre Dame, Portland State, San Diego State, Texas Tech, UC Davis, Weber State and Wyoming.
