Golfers Head to Inland Invite

Following a disappointing finish their first meet of the season, the ‘Cats hope to rebound with a strong showing.
“We’ve been working hard since Colorado and I expect to see some improvement,” head coach Leslie Spalding said.
The Bobcats will be led by senior Kelly Gillum. Also making the trip will be seniors Shannon Donegan, LaRae Smith, Hillary Folkvord, Tessa Stevenson, junior Elsie Nelsen and freshman Leslie McGetrick.
Last year, MSU finished eighth in a field of 16 teams and were led by Stephanie Simmons with a three-round total of 232. This year’s field includes hosts Eastern Washington and Gonzaga in addition to Idaho State, Portland State, University of Montana and several other western teams.
Golfers play 36 holes Monday and finish with 18 holes on Tuesday morning.
