INJURY REPORT: Defensive end Dylan Kinkelaar (ankle) was the only injury loss in Saturday’s contest at Minnesota, and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. Safety Michael Rider (shoulder) is out for 4-5 more weeks, while Blayde Becksted (knee) is doubtful for South Dakota in two weeks, but will be evaluated this week.

Montana State has not forced a turnover in the last two games, with a –7 turnover margin in that time
Bobcat opponents have blocked at least two kicks in the last two games – Kansas State blocked a pair of MSU punts, while Minnesota blocked a Bobcat field goal and extra point.
After ringing up six sacks in the opener against Adams State, the Bobcats have been shut out in that column in the past two weeks.
After turnovers led to three Kansas State drives that began inside the Bobcat red zone last week, two of Minnesota’s interceptions launched Gopher scoring drives that began inside the MSU 20.
In the last two games, Montana State opponents have cashed six of the seven Bobcat turnovers into touchdowns, with the only exception coming on the final drive of last week’s MSU-Minnesota game, when the Golden Gophers ran out the clock after MSU’s final interception.
After 45,241 watched the Bobcats play at Kansas State two weeks ago, the sixth-largest crowd, 43,929, watched MSU play at Minnesota last weekend.
Before Saturday, MSU’s last kickoff return for a touchdown came on Cory Smith’s electric 90-yarder off the opening kickoff in the 2003 Cat-Griz game.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Demetrius Crawford – 5-9, 185, Sr, Fairfield, CA
Demetrius Crawford became the first Big Sky Conference player to return a kickoff for a touchdown this season, galloping 100 yards against Minnesota for a second-quarter touchdown. The play matched MSU’s longest return ever. Crawford returned four kicks for 144 yards, and his 223 all-purpose yards marked the most by a Bobcat since 2006.
OTHER NOTES: Jason Cunningham nailed a 49-yard field goal at Minnesota, Montana State’s longest since Carson Souter nailed a 52-yarder in 1999… Cunningham’s two field goals of more than 40 yards is halfway to cracking the school’s top five for field goals of that length in one season, and is one away from fifth place in a season in school history.
