Crawford Lands POW Honor

Montana State senior Demetrius Crawford earned Big Sky Special Teams Player of the Week honors Monday for his performance at Minnesota last weekend.
Crawford, a 5-8 175-pound running back from Fairfield, Calif., returned a kick 100 yards for a touchdown in Montana State’s 35-23 loss to Minnesota of the Big Ten Conference. Crawford cut Minnesota’s lead to 14-13 with his second-quarter return. The 100-yard return tied for the longest in Big Sky Conference history. Crawford is the 17th player in league history to return a kick 100 yards, and he finished with 144 yards on four kick returns. He also had 76 rushing yards, finishing with 223 all-purpose yards.
Other honorees from Saturday are Montana wide receiver Mark Mariani and Weber State quarterback Cameron Higgins on offense, and Sacramento State defensive tackle Christian Clark.
