Bobcat Spikers Drop Match to Northwestern in Straight Sets

“We created too many errors because we weren’t aggressive,” said MSU first-year head coach Sara Schaub. “We were either not ready to hit or in the air when we needed to be.”
Montana State (3-5) was paced by Kaytlin Van Burger with eight kills and a .357 attack mark. Junior Nicole Grypiuk also posted eight kills. Defensively, the Bobcats were led by Jodeen Rademacher with 13 digs, while Kyla Hendry tallied three blocks.
Taylor Faught dished out 25 assists in the loss.
“Northwestern was a big, physical team,” Schaub said. “They ran a fast offense and we found ourselves down early. However, we battled back in the middle portion of each set, but we just didn’t finish out very well.”
MSU will play Washington State and No. 18 Wichita State on Saturday
