Bobcats Open Fall Camp

Never has Rob Ash appreciated the difference a year can make more than he did Monday.
"It's completely different," Montana State's second-year head coach said after MSU's first football practice of the fall. "This is much more like a typical first practice, where the veterans have their feet under them and the new guys are behind. Last year, we were all new guys."
While Ash gave the Bobcats thumbs up after one practice - "I liked the tempo, I liked the pace," he said - he was particularly pleased with a pair of new guys. "I liked how (quarterbacks) Mark Iddins and Cody Kempt played," Ash said. "It's only one practice, but they showed that they are very coachable and that they learn fast and apply what they learn well."
The Bobcats practice each day this week beginning at 3:15 pm. The team practices without pads again on Tuesday.
