Daly Tabbed for Buchanan List

Montana State linebacker Bobby Daly was named to the Buchanan Watch List on Friday as one of the top 16 prime candidates entering the 2008 season for national defensive player of the year honors.
A 2007 consensus All-America and first team All-Big Sky choice, Daly is one of five Big Sky players on the Buchanan List, and one of nine linebackers. The Helena product finished sixth in the 2007 Buchanan race, gaining three first-place votes and 82 points. He is the leading returning candidate. He racked up a league-high 135 tackles in 2007, with five sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss.
Daly and the Bobcats open 2008 against Adams State at home on Saturday. Kickoff is at 1:05 pm.
