Montana State football will be easy to catch this fall, as all 12 Bobcat games will be televised, with three available to a national audience.
The Bobcat Sports Network, Montana State's partnership with Max Media stations across Montana, airs eight of the team's 12 games in 2008 (see schedule below) statewide. MSU's games at Kansas State (Fox Sports College) and Minnesota (Big 10 TV) air to large regional audiences, with those games available on satellite and cable systems nationwide. The league opener at Idaho State, on Altitude, is also available nationwide.
Montana State enters its fifth season working with Max Media. Chris Byers of KULR-TV has called Bobcat games for all four seasons, and former Penn State and NFL standout Ron Heller is in his fourth season. Dave Griffiths returns for his second season manning the sideline.
Jeff Lasky returns for his second season as Montana State's radio play-by-play voice. Lasky calls the action on Learfield Sports' Bobcat Radio Network, which makes each Bobcat football game available across the state (see below) and worldwide on www.msubobcats.com. Lasky teams with Dan Davies, the longest-tenured color commentator in Big Sky Conference history.
Bobcat fans can also catch up with MSU football throughout the week, rather than just on Saturday. Cat Chat airs each Wednesday at 7 pm on KMMS AM 1450 in Bozeman, featuring Jeff Lasky with MSU Coach Rob Ash, volleyball coach Sarah Schaub, and selected Bobcat student-athletes. Fans can enjoy the show live at The Pour House in downtown Bozeman at Main and Rouse inside the old Bozeman Hotel.
Dave Griffith of ABC28 hosts Montana State's weekly highlight show, The Bobcat Sports Report featuring Rob Ash, which airs across the state on selected Bobcat Sports Network stations, as well as nationally on Altitude. This year, the Bobcat Sports Report also airs on Tuesday on Bresnan In Demand, check local Bresnan outlets for details.
The Bobcat Coaches Corner gives MSU fans the opportunity to join Montana State coach Rob Ash for coffee and conversation each Tuesday morning during the football season at the Bozeman Holiday Inn. The Coaches Corner begins at 10 am.
