Bobcat Spikers Host Alumni Match on Saturday

The Bobcats will host an Alumni match on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Shroyer Gym.
“I think we’re all getting on the same page,” Schaub said. “The student-athletes are getting to the point where they need to see something different on the other side of the net.”
Alumnae slated to play on Saturday include Kelly (Modrow) Lindseth, Shannon (Kemper) Lundgren, Becca (Owens) Johnson and Lisa (McCanlies) Neumann.
Montana State, who went 1-27 last fall, return six letterwinners, including four starters. The Bobcats will rely heavily on seniors Kaytlin Van Burger and Laura Viren, along with junior Nicole Grypiuk.
“We have a good core returning from last season, and coupled with our newcomers we are looking forward to the season,” Schaub said. “Our first few matches will really give us a good test with Portland and Washington coming to town.”
Washington, who is ranked No. 9 in the CBS College Sports Network/AVCA Division I Coaches Top 25 Preseason Poll, went 27-4 overall last year, while Portland, who is also rebuilding, posted a 7-21 mark.
