Bobcat Men’s Tennis Team Falls Short in Upset Bid

Montana State raced out to the opening doubles point, capturing victories at Nos. 1 and 3.
Following wins by Kyle McDonald and Fletcher Keyes at No. 1 and 4 singles, respectively, the Bobcats held a 3-0 advantage over the Eagles.
EWU tied the match at 3-all with straight set wins at Nos. 2 and 3, and a hard-fought three set decision at No. 6 singles.
Eastern Washington’s Art Karas fended off Justin Hauck 6-7, 7-6, 7-6, winning the third set tiebreaker 7-5, to advance the Eagles into the championship match against No. 1 Sacramento State.
MSU ended its season 13-12 overall.
