Coming:
Apr.25-26: Drake Relays at Des Moines, Iowa
Apr. 25: Kip Janverin Invite at Indianola, Iowa (Simpson College)
Apr. 25: Montana Invite at Missoula
Montana State track and field will split its squad this coming weekend, sending some members to Iowa and some to Missoula. Thirty will be traveling to Des Moines where five will compete in the prestigious Drake Relays. Nick Lam (javelin), Kim Berg (javelin), Dustin Degan (javelin), Ali Jones (hammer), and Taylor Hensen (javelin) will compete at Drake based on best marks in the early spring season. The remaining 25 making the east jaunt will compete at the Kip Janverin Invite hosted by Simpson College. Over 30 other ‘Cats will go to Missoula on Apr. 25 and compete in the Montana Invite.
Last Week:
Nick Atwood led a strong contingent of Montana State athletes at the 2008 Azusa Pacific Invitational on Saturday, winning the 5000 meters. Atwood’s mark of 14:32.35 stands as second-best in the Big Sky this season, and as an improvement of over 16 seconds on his previous season’s best. Atwood was one of nine Bobcats with top five finishes.

The MSU men’s tennis program finished their conference regular season with a vengeance, dropping rival Montana 4-3 for the second time this season and beating up on Northern Colorado, 7-0.

April 18: won at Weber State, 7-0
April 19: won at Idaho State, 7-0
The MSU women swept all their opponents on the road trip that put an exclamation point on their regular season. MSU secured the third seed in the conference tourney with wins over the weekend.

Spring Football
The annual Spring Game is scheduled for April 26th in Great Falls at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the gate at Memorial Stadium. The Friday night banquet is sold out.
