Bobcat Men’s Tennis Team Sweeps Northern Colorado

Montana State (12-11, 5-3) head coach Mike Phillips juggled the Bobcat ladder, sitting No. 1 singles standout Kyle McDonald in preparation for next week’s Big Sky Conference tournament.
Jakub Dybala moved-up into MSU’s top spot and cruised to a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Austin Nunn. Montana State claimed all six singles matches without dropping a set.
The Bobcats won all three doubles spots to earn the first point of the match.
“It was a solid effort,” Phillips said. “The guys are excited to be heading to the Big Sky Conference tournament. They know the tournament is wide-open and anyone of six teams could win the title. We’re playing very confident and I like our chances.”
MSU will enter the Big Sky championships as the No. 4 seed and will play No. 5 Northern Arizona in the first-round, next week at Sacramento State.
