MSU Game Notes vs. Weber State

Montana State returns to the scene of its most recent Big Sky Conference Tournament win - nearly a decade ago - when it squares off with a powerful Weber State squad out to defend its league title. Losers of six straight tourney games since Jeff Riggs dispatched Northridge with a 1999 buzzer-beater in the Dee Events Center, the Bobcats won’t take an easy path to reversing that trend. Montana State is 2-3 against Weber State in Big Sky Tournament play, 0-1 in Ogden. The Dee Events Center has been unkind even when MSU isn’t playing the Wildcats. MSU is 2-4 in all tourney games at the DEC.

• MSU failed to shoot 50% in a league road game this year, and shot only 43% in its loss at Weber State two weeks ago
• The Cats are 43-for-50 (86%) from the line in the last three games, and stand 23rd in the nation in FT %
• Montana State shoots 38% from the floor in its last three games, and continues to shoot far better at home (47%) than on the road (42%)
ON THE DEFENSE...
• The Cats blocked only three shots in the last two games
• Bobcat opponents shoot 62% (185-of-298) in the last six games
• MSU surrendered 91 points to UNC and 96 to PSU last week, the first time allowing 90+ points in consecutive games since 1998-99
