Men’s Tennis (8-10, 3-2)
Last Week:
Mar. 28: won at Northern Arizona, 6-1
Mar. 29: won at Glendale Community College (Exhibition match), 7-0
The Montana State men’s tennis team won its second straight Big Sky Conference match defeating Northern Arizona 6-1, Friday afternoon. Montana State opened the match winning the doubles point by virtue of victories at the Nos. 1 and 3 spot. MSU’s top tandem of Kyle McDonald and Jakub Dybala captured their seventh straight win and remained undefeated in Big Sky Conference play with an 8-2 victory over NAU’s Chris Arena and Bradley Bristow.

Montana State men’s tennis continues with conference matches on the road this week visiting Weber State and Idaho State over the coming weekend. WSU is 2-1 in conference matches, losing only to league-leading Sacramento State over the weekend. The Bengals are 1-10 overall and 1-3 in Big Sky Conference play.
Women’s Tennis (6-4, 2-2)
Last Week:
Mar. 29: lost vs. Sacramento State, 1-6
Mar. 30: beat Eastern Washington, 5-2
MSU women won their doubles point, but lost the singles point to conference leader Sacramento State over the weekend at home. The ‘Cats came back to down Eastern Washington on Sunday. MSU dropped the doubles point to open the meet but sophomore Laura Villegas posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles to tie the match at one-all. With the win, Villegas improved to 9-1 on the season. Senior Katy Proietti followed with a straight set victory over Amanda Mankovits at No. 4, before MSU’s Stephanie Jasper rallied for a hard-fought 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(2) win at the top spot to give the Bobcats a 3-1 advantage. Montana State sophomore Ali Griffin secured the match for the Bobcats with a 6-2, 6-2 victory No. 5 singles over Marcie Demerath.

Coming:
Apr. 7-8: at the University of Wyoming Invite at Phoenix, AZ
The University of Wyoming will host a two-day meet at Chandler, Arizona at the Ocotillo Golf Resort. The 16 team field includes BSC schools Eastern Washington, Idaho State, MSU, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona, Montana, and Weber State.
Outdoor Track and Field
Coming:
Apr. 4-5: at Al Manuel Invite, Missoula, MT
Montana State opens the outdoor track and field season this weekend at Missoula at the Al Manuel Invite. The meet will be a double dual with Eastern Washington and the University of Montana.
Spring Football
The annual Spring Game is scheduled for April 26th in Great Falls at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the gate at Memorial Stadium. The Friday night banquet is sold out.
