Eleven Bobcat Women Honored at Student Achievement Awards Ceremony

Tuesday, Danforth and Alumni Association Director Jaynee Groseth hosted the annual Student Achievement Awards banquet at the SUB Ballroom which featured 11 female student-athletes from various Bobcat teams including golf, tennis, track and field, skiing, and women's basketball.
"It's incredible what these women accomplish in their time here on campus. I don't think any of us realizes the dedication it takes to be a good student, volunteer in the community, and succeed as an athlete. It just amazes me," Danforth said.
The annual ceremony is a partnership between the campus Women's Center and the MSU Alumni Association. This year marked the 16th time the awards were handed out. It is the first year that the awards featured a particular group on campus.
"We just felt it was time to showcase what these women are doing. They are great examples of what MSU is all about," Groseth said.
Head women's basketball coach Trish Binford was the keynote speaker for the event. Outstanding seniors honored are listed below with their team and academic major:
