Senior Sendoff: Mecklen Davis

As a junior, Mecklen Davis remade his game. During his senior season, he did it again. The net result made Davis one of the most versatile Bobcats in recent years.
Davis brought outstanding credentials as a scorer to the MSU program in 2006-07, and played much of that year in the low blocks. His size advantage as a two-guard allowed him to average 7.8 points and 3.0 boards as a junior.
As a senior, having moved to the small forward spot, Davis was asked to move from the low blocks to the perimeter. He adapted well, stroking mid-range jumpers consistently and - after initial struggles - finished the year averaging 7.9 points and 3.5 boards.
Davis also stands as one of the most active members from among MSU's 350-plus student-atheltes in working in the community, spending considerable time in Bozeman-area schools and in various community service projects.
