The Montana State women’s basketball team will be making its 15th Big Sky Conference Tournament appearance this weekend in Missoula. Only the University of Montana has made more league postseason appearances. For the second straight season, the Bobcats will open tournament play against Northern Arizona. Last year, NAU, who was the No. 4 seed, defeated MSU, the No. 5 seed, 76-53, in Dahlberg Arena. The Bobcats and Lumberjacks have history in the Big Sky Conference Tournament. The two rivals have met four times- all in the quarterfinals- with each school owning a pair of victories. After earning its third consecutive road win at Eastern Washington last Saturday afternoon, Montana State finished the regular-season 16-12 overall and 11-5 in Big Sky play. Both marks were three more then last season. Montana State is one of the hottest teams entering the tourney, winning eight of their last ten outings.
