Montana State (#3 seed) vs. Northern Arizona (seed #6), tip-off at 5:35 PM

Montana State solidified third place in the BSC with two road wins over the weekend. The ‘Cats got the number three seed in the tourney by virtue of a tie-breaker with Portland State.

Indoor Track and Field
Coming:
March 14-15: NCAA Indoor Championships at Fayetteville, Arkansas
Pole vaulter Ellie Rudy and sprinter Dan Johnson will make the trek to Fayetteville this weekend for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Rudy goes into the contest rated number one in the country in women’s pole vault and Johnson goes with a ranking of 13th in the men’s 400.
The men’s 400 prelims are at 4:40 PM on Friday with finals at 5:55 PM Saturday. The women’s pole vault runs at 4:00 PM Saturday. The Championships will not be broadcast live but will be aired on ESPN 2 on March 20 at 2:00 PM MDT.
Skiing
Last Week:
Montana State’s Toby Lamar placed 17th in the men’s slalom at the NCAA Ski Championships at Bridger Bowl on Saturday, March 8. MSU’s Chichi Williams placed 30th in the women’s slalom after a harrowing two runs, one in which she lost a glove and a pole out of the start gate, and the other she was whipped in the face by a gate cutting open her lip.
On the nordic side, MSU freshman Kaelin Kiesel placed 12th in the women’s 15k. Men’s nordic standout Anders Folleras did not compete due to illness.

The Montana State golf team travels to Hawaii this week for spring break at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invite at Kaneohe, Hawaii. The 16-team event includes 92 golfers. MSU is the only BSC school at the event but regional teams Wyoming and Gonzaga will also be in attendance. Pac-10 powers University of Arizona and Arizona State will compete in the three-day tourney hosted by the University of Hawaii.
