Montana State Cross Country Teams Earn Academic Awards, Men in Top 10

Both Bobcat squads were named to the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic list.
In addition, the Montana State men’s team finished as one of the top ten academic squads in the nation at the NCAA Division I level.
“We’re very excited about this achievement,” said MSU head coach Dale Kennedy. “To have both teams earn the honor, and the men placing in the top ten, is a terrific accomplishment. It was a total team effort.”
The MSU men’s team posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.397, trailing only Belmont, Wagner, Vanderbilt, Yale, Weber State, Butler, Cincinnati, Rutgers and Creighton.
Members of the all-academic squad included Matt Adams, Nick Atwood, Chris Baldus, Graydon Curry, Kelvin Daratha, Dan Jackson, Chad Nauman, Tyler Noland and Carl Nystuen.
The Bobcat women’s team finished with a 3.28 cumulative gpa. The team was led by Elisabeth Driscoll, Kayla Larson, Morgan Dunley, Anna Glowacki, Katie Gilboy, Caroline Gottschalk, Kala Jacquet, Jayme Larson, and Elizabeth Mancuso.
To achieve the designation of an all-academic cross country team with distinction, an institution’s team roster must have posted a minimum cumulative grade-point of 3.25.
