Bobcats Host CS Fullerton Tuesday

The Bobcats return home for the final time before Christmas, hosting Cal State Fullerton. The Titans are led by explosive guard Josh Akognon, who has scored at least 20 points in eight straight games. The 5-11 senior averages 24.6 points a game, the fifth-highest average in Division I basketball. Tuesday’s matchup with Akognen (ah-KOY-uhn) marks the second straight dynamo guard the Bobcats have to contend with, just days after MSU limited Eastern Washington’s sensational Benny Valentine to 15 points, four below his season average. Bobcat guard Will Bynum has blossomed as a defender recently, registering 13 steals in the last three games. Divaldo Mbunga has blocked 11 shots this season to lead the Big Sky.
