Garcia Leads Six Bobcat Players in Double-Figures as MSU Downs Argos

Garcia connected on six-of-nine from the field and added four steals. Also in double-digits for Montana State (4-3) were Katie Bussey 14, Erica Perry 13, Anne Phippard 13, Lyndi Seidensticker 13, and Mara Hoefer 11.
“I thought we made some progress with our rebounding,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. “However, we need to continue working on being strong and solid with the ball.”
For the game, Montana State shot 50 percent from the field and 80 percent from the line. The Bobcats held a 42-29 advantage in rebounding and forced Great Falls into 35 turnovers, while giving the ball up on 16 occasions.
“We still need work defensively,” Binford said. “Great Falls shot 42 percent for the game, and that’s an area where we can improve. It was nice to get everyone some minutes and valuable playing experience.”
The Bobcats held a 59-27 advantage at intermission.
UGF was paced by Bozeman native Leslie Saunders, who notched 13 points, including a three-of-four effort from three-point range.
MSU will play at San Diego State on Thursday night.
