Cunningham's Boot Helps 'Cats Chop Down Lumberjacks

Senior running back Demetrius Crawford rushed for 160 yards and freshman Jason Cunningham booted three field goals, including the game-winner with 1:24 to play, as Montana State beat Northern Arizona 25-23.
The win raises MSU's record to 6-4 on the season, 4-2 in Big Sky play, and marks the Bobcats' third straight win in Flagstaff. It is also MSU's closest win since a two-point decision at home over Idaho State in 2005.
With starting quarterback Cody Kempt sidelined, Mark Iddins performed well in his first career start. Iddins finished the day 16-for-31 passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Mark Desin finished the game after Iddins suffered a fourth-quarter shoulder injury, completing a 44-yard pass to DeSean Thomas to set up the winning field goal.
Dane Fletcher had a monstrous impact on the game from his defensive end position. The junior from Bozeman blocked two kicks, registered six tackles, including four for a loss, and caused and recovered a fumble. The blocked punt was good for a safety and set up a field goal, while the fumble set up MSU's first touchdown.
