Below are notes and quotes from MSU's final regular season home game of 2008, a 49-32 victory over Portland State on Saturday.
* Demetrius Crawford passed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the fourth straight game
* Crawford's 187-yard day raises his season total to 1,111, making him the first Bobcat to rush for 1,000 yards in a season since Ryan Johnson in 2001
* Crawford's 1,979 career rushing yards is eighth in school history
* Aaron Woods' 93-yard kickoff return was the first against MSU since Lamont Brightful of Eastern Washington turned the trick in 2001
MSU QUARTERBACK MARK DESIN: "It was pretty fun. It was nice to be back out there at quarterback. This was a definite team victory."
On his first interception - "It was open, I think I just over-strided a little bit. The ball got away from me. But you have to forget about that one. It's not what happens to you, it's how you bounce back."
RUNNING BACK DEMETRIUS CRAWFORD: "It feels good, but the people you should have up here (doing interviews) is the offensive line, so they can tell you what happened. They made it so easy today."
HEAD COACH ROB ASH: "It was a great day today, and the team deciding to play for our seniors was a big factor this week, adding to the quarterback situation and all the injuries. I thought this team really wanted to win for the seniors on their last day in this stadium, and I know the seniors wanted to win, and that was a big storyline."
