For the match, Montana State (3-16, 0-9) hit .128 from the floor. However, the bulk of the MSU attack came in the first set as the Bobcats hit .364 from the field. In the final two sets, Montana State went .000 from the floor.
Northern Colorado (13-5, 7-2) stayed atop the Big Sky Conference standings hitting .405 from the field, including a red-hot .727 attack mark in the third set.
MSU was paced in the loss by Nicole Grypiuk with nine kills, and Laura Viren with eight kills and four digs. Sophomore libero Meghan Albiston led the Bobcats defensively with eight digs, while Chelsea Oemcke guided Montana State at the net with three blocks.
Montana State will play at Northern Arizona on Saturday night.
