“We have different players stepping up at different times, but not all at the same time,” said MSU head coach Sara Schaub. “We have a hard time identifying the hot hitter.”
Idaho State (5-15, 2-6) out-hit Montana State (3-15, 0-8) .185 to .091. The Bobcats held a commanding advantage in serving and blocking, however the Bengals recorded 14 more kills.
“We did a great job with our defense this weekend,” Schaub said. “As far as digging and blocking we were way ahead of our season averages.”
MSU posted six service aces without allowing one from ISU. In addition, the Bobcats out-blocked the Bengals 12.5 to 7.
Rademacher, a native of Adams, Neb., recorded a match-high 12 kills, while adding 14 digs, two aces and two blocks. Also contributing for the Bobcats were Kyla Hendry and Laura Viren with six blocks, apiece.
Defensively, three Bobcats players reached double-digit digs paced by Meghan Albiston 18, Viren 14, and Rademacher.
Idaho State was led by Jaclyn Hone with 12 kills and 17 digs.
Montana State will travel to Northern Colorado next Thursday.
