MSU Golfers Top Griz in Last Fall Event

Senior Kelly Gillum led the ‘Cats with a 153, tying for 18th in the contest.
The team event ended in a rare four-way tie between host Boise State, University of Wyoming, UC-Riverside and Santa Clara University.
“Beating the Griz was a good way to end our season,” MSU head coach Leslie Spalding said. “This is definitely a good sign for our future.”
Portland State led all Big Sky Conference schools at the meet placing sixth. Other Big Sky finishers included Weber State in tenth and Montana in 11th. Miki Ueoka (Santa Clara) was the medalist shooting a 140 in the 36-hole event.
