Coaches Versus Cancer Event A Success

Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
The event, organized by Montana State Athletics and the local American Cancer society, raised funds by passing buckets among the fans at the event manned by coaches and student-athletes. The MSU golf team also donated their portion of the evening’s 50-50 money to the cause.
This is the second year MSU has participated in Coaches versus Cancer. On Friday, Feb. 8 the women’s basketball game against Montana will feature “Think Pink 2008”, a unified effort for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist
in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
