Montana State used blistering second-half shooting to hang on for a 70-67 road win on Thursday, and return home to host Eastern Washington in a unique Big Sky weekend featuring a more rigorous travel schedule for the home team than the road team. With Carlos Taylor and Divaldo Mbunga limited to a combined 12 points on Thursday, senior guard Casey Durham and sophomore forward Branden Johnson posted outstanding efforts. Durham score 18 points on 6-for-8 shooting and dished out five assists, while the last two of Johnson’s 15 points sealed the win from the line with three seconds left.
