“Offensively, it was one of our better performances of the season,” said MSU head coach Miya Malauulu. “However, our serve-receive broke down, and that doesn’t allow for many opportunities. It’s something we need to work through before the start of the Big Sky Conference season.”
Montana State (0-9) was led by Laura Viren and Patti Anderson, who tallied 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Viren also added ten digs, two aces and a team-high five blocks.
FAU (2-6) had four players in double-figure kills, including Krystena Castro, who pounded out 17 winners.
The Bobcats will face Central Florida and North Florida on Saturday.
