Last Week: Defeated Weber State, 21-5
Montana State opened its Big Sky Conference schedule with a 21-5 victory over Weber State, Saturday in Ogden, Utah to spoil the Wildcats Homecoming festivities. The Bobcat defense scored a pair of touchdowns off of interceptions, including Michael Beach’s pick- which was his second straight interception for a TD in as many years against WSU. The Bobcat offense finished the day with 283 yards, including a Jack Rolovich to Jamelle Banks 29-yard touchdown strike.

9/28: vs. Montana, 5:30 p.m., Shroyer Gym (PLEASE NOTE: MATCH TIME CHANGE)
The Bobcat volleyball team dropped a pair of Big Sky matches at home against Eastern Washington and Portland State. Sophomore Nicole Grypiuk paced the Bobcats collecting 20 kills and five blocks. For the weekend, she averaged 3.33 kills, while hitting .286 from the field. Grypiuk had her best match of the weekend against Eastern Washington with 11 kills, a .310 attack mark, three blocks and two digs.
Cross Country:
9/28: at Notre Dame Invite
The Bobcat cross country teams will travel to Notre Dame on Friday in which 15 nationally ranked teams will participate. MSU has been idle since hosting the 26th annual MSU Invite at Bridger Creek on Sept. 15.
Golf:
9/24: at Inland Empire/Gonzaga Invite
Gonzaga University hosts the 54-hole MDA Invite that takes place at Hangman Country Club with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. Last year the Bobcats finished seventh in the event behind the scoring of senior redshirt Kelly Gillum who placed 12th
Men’s Tennis:
9/28: at All-American Tournament (Jakub Dybala, Kyle McDonald)
Senior Kyle McDonald paced Montana State at its own Bobcat Open, which featured players from Montana, MSU-Billings and former MSU standouts. McDonald defeated former Bobcat great Marek Gebicki in the finals 6-3, 6-2. This weekend, head coach Mike Phillips will take McDonald and Jakub Dybala to the All-American Tournament in Tulsa, which is the largest tournament of its kind this fall. The All-American is where former Bobcat great Federico Ueltschi burst on to the national scene.
Wendy’s Hall of Fame Banquet:
9/28: Wendy’s Hall of Fame Banquet, SUB (Social: 6:30 p.m., Dinner: 7:30 p.m.)
An outstanding slate of candidates will enter the annals of Bobcat history on Friday with the induction of Montana State’s 22nd Hall of Fame Class. Being inducted on Friday night are Blythe Hommes-Hintz (WBB), Kim Steffel-Duis (VB), Les Leininger (FB), Tom Storm (MB), Wade Ayala (Wrestling), and the 66-67 MBB Team.
