Golf Heads to Spokane for MDA Invite

Gonzaga University hosts the 54-hole MDA Invite that takes place at Hangman Country Club with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
The six-player MSU contingent for this event includes juniors LaRae Smith, Hilary Folkvord, Tessa Stevenson, and seniors Stephanie Simmons and Kate Steffanich. Last year the Bobcats finished seventh in the event behind the scoring of senior red shirt Kelly Gillum who placed 12th.
Thirteen teams comprise this year’s field including Big Sky schools Eastern Washington, Montana, and Northern Arizona.
Montana State is coming off a 20th place finish at the Colorado State Invite. At that events, Eastern Washington placed 13th, the highest finish of any BSC school.
