Bobcat coach Rob Ash has insisted throughout the summer that competition exists at every position entering fall camp. He reiterated that Monday. "I like that feeling," he said. "In fact, I hope we have that feeling every year."

Opening his first fall camp off the Drake University campus in nearly two decades, Rob Ash admitted to some nerves on Monday. "I have the jitters," he said. "It feels like a game day. All the planning, all the work, putting the equipment on and getting out here on the practice field is a great feeling."
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Rob Ash said the first order of business on Monday was fairly elemental. "The first challenge," Ash said, "is guys knowing where to go on the field for the first drill."
