“Our outside hitting crew had an outstanding day,” said fifth-year Bobcat coach Miya Malauulu. “I’m excited with the way they played. We have some depth at the position and they raised the level of play.”
Also pacing the Gold squad were Wendy Doutre and Monique Schaal with seven and six kills, respectively. Sarah Allen dished out 27 assists, while Meaghan Albiston notched a match-high 12 digs.
The Blue team was led by freshman Rachelle Allen with seven kills. Redshirt freshman setter Maria Peterson tallied 14 assists in the losing effort.
MSU will open its season at Creighton, Aug. 24.
