Bobcats Ranked 23rd in Preseason Poll

Montana State stands 23rd in the first College Sporting News Division I FCS football poll of 2007, CSN announced on Monday.
A pair of familiar Bobcat foes finds themselves at the top of the 2007 preseason poll. Defending national champion Appalachian State, the team that eliminated MSU in the quarterfinal round of the Division I Playoffs last season, enters the season ranked first. Montana, which won the Big Sky last fall, is second. Furman, who MSU beat in the first round of the Division I Playoffs last year, is 11th, while Big Sky rival Portland State is 13th.
The Bobcats were ranked in national polls 10 weeks in 2006, including the last seven.
