Montana State hosts its annual Bobcat Distance Running Camp on July 15-18, said MSU coach Dale Kennedy.
The camp features trail runs in the mountains surrounding Bozeman with a coaching staff that features Kennedy, MSU assistant Scott Creel, and former MSU distance standouts Emily Thompson, now the cross country coach at Dowling College, and Chris Blomquist, track coach at Billings West. Campers also participate in educational sessions on training, race strategy, nutrition, sports psychology, equipment, goal-setting and team-building.
The camp is open to students entering grades nine through 12, and costs $250 for residents and $140 for day campers.
