Bobcats Land Three on Preseason Team

Bobby Daly led three Bobcats on the Preseason All-Big Sky Team, announced Monday at the league’s Summer Kickoff in Park City, Utah, and conference media and coaches picked the ‘Cats near the middle of the pick in the loop’s preseason poll.
Daly, a junior from Helena, joins seniors Aaron Papich, a defensive tackle from Great Falls, and senior linebacker Epikopo King from The Dalles, Ore. No Bobcat players earned mention on the league’s offensive squad.
Montana led all teams with nine first team all-league choices, four each on offense and defense and one on special teams, while Portland State and Northern Arizona garnered four votes each. That jibes with the league’s preseason polls, both of which see Montana as the unanimous choice and Portland State in second place. The league’s football coaches see the Bobcats third and Northern Arizona fourth, while the Big Sky Media has that order reversed. Both the coaches and media polls have Eastern Washington fifth, Weber State sixth, Sacramento State seventh, Idaho State eighth, and Northern Colorado ninth.
