Bozeman High distance runner Daniel Jackson signed a National Letter-of-Intent to join the Montana State track and cross country program on Wednesday.
Jackson finished third in the Class AA Cross Country Championships last fall, leading the Hawks to their first state title in two decades. He posted a 15:38 on Helena's three-mile course. He finished with the third-best 3200 (9:36.0) and miles (4:25.1) in the state this year, and finished fifth in the state in the mile and 3200.
"Daniel is a young runner with exciting potential for development," said MSU coach Dale Kennedy. "He has a lot of room to get better as he engages in year-round training and competition. I look for him to be part of what I believe will be an excellent freshman class next fall."
