Bobcat Coach Search On Task

Montana State's football coach search committee will begin screening applications in the next few days, Bobcat Athletic Director Peter Fields said.
Fields declined to publicly identify the size or membership of the committee, but said the process would move quickly. "We've operated coach searches expeditiously, and feel that will be the case this time," Fields said. "We have established a committee of individuals that represent a cross-section of our constituents, including members of the community, faculty, and Bobcat Athletic Department."
Fields indicated that around 25 coaches had contacted MSU to express interest by the end of the work day Monday. The committee is expected to present a list of 8-10 semifinalists for phone interviews, with three-to-five on-campus finalists anticipated. The committee has no set timetable, Fields said, but is charged with "moving quickly."
