Rudy, Berg Win Big Sky Titles

Ellie Rudy and Kim Berg grabbed Big Sky Championships on Friday, leading Montana State's women into third place after the third day of the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Pocatello, ID. The meet concludes on Saturday.
Rudy vaulted a foot-and-a-half below her consistent performance level, but that was more than enough to win her third straight Big Sky Outdoor Pole Vault Championship. Coupled with her two conference indoor titles, Rudy is five-for-five at league meets. Kylee Zent just missed joining Rudy and Berg as multiple winners and giving the Bobcats a hat trick on the 2007 meet's first day.
MSU's women currently stand in third, 13 points behind league-leading Weber State but just a point-and-a-half ahead of Portland State.The bottom six teams are bunched with 12 points.
On the men's side, Nathan Palmer grabbed all-conference honors in the hammer throw, leading a 3-6-8 Bobcat showing in that event. Graydon Curry finished sixth in the 10,000 meters, while Matt Beamer was sixth in the Steeplechase. MSU is tied for sixth with 17 points.
